Leiden: Hotei Publishing, 2015, pp. 52-56. This essay is a part of the exhibition catalog of modern Japanese prints held at the Baur Museum in Geneva, Switzerland. It addresses Ishii Hakutei, an artist who championed a new medium of self-carved, self-printed printmaking in Hōsun, an independent art and literature journal that he co-edited with his peers.
